Do dental hygiene treatments hurt?

The Airflow we use for all our patients uses 40 degree water cooled slightly with air to 37 degrees, meaning that it is hardly noticeable within the mouth. We can use it on all soft tissues even the tongue, meaning the mouth feels fresher with the knowledge we have disrupted the Biofilm completely by adhering to the Guided Biofilm Therapy protocol. Sometimes we may have to use the Ultrasonic scaler to remove mature calculus which patients can find a little sensitive but this is more due to the water temperature than anything else. Airflow has transformed the way people feel about hygiene treatment with even the most sensitive patients happy to proceed.
