The Revitalise Method

We have a bespoke method of treating our patients, which can be broken down into three simple steps.

Our state-of-the-art, eco-friendly facilities are unlike any other private dentist in Cornwall. At your initial consultation, you will get the chance to meet our friendly staff and explore our treatment centre. Our team will go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed, relaxed, and calm throughout your visit. We understand that visiting the dentist can be an anxious time for some people, that’s why our expert team will guide you every step of the way. We will discuss with you any oral problems that you believe you have. Once we have established if there are any underlying concerns, we may need to treat those first before moving on to your desired treatment.

Our goal is to help you rediscover your smile. We understand that every one of our patients is an individual, that is why no two treatments we offer are the same. Each service is bespoke and tailored to the individual needs of our patients. As all of our treatments are patient lead, meaning that you get the final say. Our team is on hand to advise you on the best treatment options so you can make an informed decision to achieve your perfect smile. During your treatment, if at any point you wish to stop, or start to feel any discomfort, just tell your consultant. They will stop and take a short break, adjusting the treatment if necessary, and will talk you through every step of the process, putting your mind at ease.

After Care

Part of what makes us a 5-star private dentist in Cornwall is our superb aftercare. We like to make sure your treatment has had the desired effect, giving you your dream smile for years to come. We advise that after having any treatments you keep up regular visits to our hygienist and yearly examinations. This will help us determine how well your treatment is working and whether there needs to be any maintenance done. Regular check-ups will help us keep an eye on your overall oral health. With the use of our onsite lab, we can make any adjustments to your treatments in an efficient manner, saving you time and getting rid of any discomfort.

Further Information

General Dentistry

Here at Revitalise Dental Centre, alongside our bespoke treatments, we also offer General Dentistry services to patients looking for a private dentist in Cornwall. Our routine general dentistry examinations will cover areas that other dental practices might not. We conduct an in-depth examination of your mouth, teeth and gums, as well as assessing your jaw joints and the tissues of your head and neck.

This thorough overview will give us a good understanding of your overall oral health and help us spot any underlying issues such as tooth decay. These examinations will be able to spot early signs of problems and allow us to form a treatment plan to combat the issue before it develops further.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Here at Revitalise Dental Centre, we offer a range of Cosmetic Dentistry treatments. Cosmetic dentistry focuses more on aesthetic outcomes, rather than medical ones. Used to enhance or change your smile, our Cosmetic Dentistry treatments will leave you with a Hollywood worthy smile. At our private dentist facilities here in Cornwall, we can help improve the shape and colour of your teeth. If you wish to improve or change the shape of a single damaged tooth, we will be able to colour match the treatment so that it blends in with the rest of your teeth. Whether it is just one tooth you wish to treat or change your whole smile, we can help.

Veneers are a quick and painless way of transforming your smile. Whether you wish to fill any gaps you may have, or cover up any discolouration, our bespoke veneers treatment will be able to give you your perfect smile. As a private dentist in Cornwall, we are lucky to have an on-site lab. Our dental consultants will take custom moulds of your teeth so that the veneers have a comfortable and secure fit. We will even be able to colour match it to your existing teeth, giving you a natural-looking smile. The moulds will then be sent to our lab, cutting down the wait time between taking the moulds and having the Veneers fitted.

Dental Crowns

Our Dental Crown service can be used as a cosmetic treatment to change your smile or can help restore and protect damaged or decayed teeth from further harm. Dental crowns are a tooth-shaped ‘cap’ that fits over an existing tooth, working as a protective barrier. They offer a long term and maintenance-free solution and can be treated and looked after just as a normal tooth is. At our private dentist facilities here in Cornwall, we fit all of our crowns under a local anaesthetic, allowing for a pain-free treatment.

Dental Implants

If you have a missing tooth and have been looking for a private dentist in Cornwall to fit a natural-looking replacement, Revitalise Dental Centre can help. Our Dental Implants are a common treatment for missing teeth. By combining a titanium ‘root’ placed into the gum with a ceramic crown, our Dental Implants will allow you to talk, eat, and smile as if they were your natural teeth. Whether you only have a single tooth missing, or multiple teeth, we will be able to fit an implant to match your teeth, leaving you with a natural-looking smile.

Fixed Implant Retained Dentures

If you are looking for a private dentist in Cornwall who offers full upper or lower dentures then you should consider Revitalise Dental Centre. With our Fixed Implant Retained Dentures, you will be left with a natural-looking smile and the knowledge that your dentures will not move. Offering a strong and stable base, our fixed dentures can be fitted onto existing implants and help support the overall structure of your mouth. All of our Fixed Dentures are bespoke, made to fit individual patients.

Removable Implant Retained Dentures

If you are worried about your dentures coming loose or moving throughout the day, why not find out more about our Removable Implant Retained Dentures. Easily removable to clean and maintain, our removable dentures clip onto implants embedding into the gum, giving you a natural-looking smile. At our private dentist facilities in Cornwall, Revitalise can create bespoke removable dentures that are moulded to fit comfortably and securely in your mouth.

Partial & Full Dentures

Whether you only need a Partial Denture or a Full Denture, Revitalise Dental Centre can help. Working as a private dentist in Cornwall with an onsite lab, we can create bespoke dentures to suit your needs and lifestyle. By offering bespoke treatments, we can ensure that your Partial or Full Dentures offer you a comfortable and stable fit, leaving you with a natural-looking smile.

Metal & Acrylic Dentures

Available in a range of materials, our Metal and Acrylic Dentures both offer a comfortable and secure fit. Used for different purposes, Metal and Acrylic Dentures can help replace lost teeth. At our private dentist in Cornwall, we have an onsite lab, allowing us to create bespoke dentures. Giving you a natural-looking replacement for lost teeth.

Working as a private dentist in Cornwall, we also offer Orthodontic treatments. Our short-term orthodontic treatments can help give you straighter teeth in a shorter time. You will be fitted with a clear brace to help change the aesthetic of your smile. Orthodontics is no longer solely for younger patients, as more adults are turning to the procedure. After just six short months, your clear brace will be removed with as much of your enamel being preserved as possible, to help keep your teeth healthy.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening is a popular cosmetic treatment. As a private dentist in Cornwall, we offer our patients a home whitening kit that will only alter the colour of your teeth. There is no need for any invasive procedures, giving you a Hollywood smile from the comfort of your own home. Our teeth whitening kits will not damage your teeth in any way and the procedure can fit around your lifestyle. You should be able to see a difference within a week of the treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I visit the dentist?

Visiting your dentist regularly is crucial to maintaining good oral health. At Revitalise we would like to see you every 6 to 12 months for a routine general dentistry check-up. However, every patient is different and a treatment plan unique to you will be created at your initial consultation.

Why should I choose private dentistry over NHS services

As a private dentist, we have more time to spend with our patients whilst reducing waiting times. The additional time we have with our patients allows us to educate the patient on the most effective and efficient ways they can improve their oral health. Through education, we aim to help our patients maintain their smile for as long as possible with simple things they can do themselves at home. An extremely important part of our general dentistry service.

With reduced waiting times we can offer you the help you need before your symptoms get worse or untreatable. General dentistry treatments such as fillings are best treated as soon as possible to prevent further decay and damage to the tooth. We are also able to offer composite fillings also known as ‘tooth-coloured’ fillings, which are usually not available on the NHS. Many patients are often concerned with noticeable silver in their mouth with amalgam fillings.

Should I have my wisdom teeth removed if they don't hurt?

Sometimes wisdom teeth might need to be removed even if they are not currently causing any pain. This is usually recommended when they grow in at an unusual angle or not have enough room to break through your gums due to overcrowding. Sometimes, wisdom teeth can affect the adjacent teeth which can result in the loss of both these teeth.

If your wisdom teeth are not causing any pain, and we do not identify that they may cause problems in the future, there will be no need to remove them. However, many people will go their whole lives without experiencing any problems with their wisdom teeth. During your general dentistry check up we will check for signs that your wisdom teeth might cause problems later in life.

My teeth do not hurt, should I still see a general dentist?

A very common misconception is that if you are not in pain, there is no need to see the dentist. Although pain is a good indicator that something is going wrong, unfortunately in dental terms, most of the time pain means that it is too late. General dentistry can prevent any disease or treat it before it costs you your tooth.
During an examination, the dentist looks for signs of cancer or other diseases by examining your tongue, throat, face, head, and neck. A very important examination to miss out on!
Visiting the dentist at the recommended intervals tailored to you is important to ensure you are truly healthy, and the work you do to maintain your oral health is on track!

Does it hurt to have a tooth removed?

Nobody wants to have their tooth removed. Teeth are important functional and aesthetic parts of your body. A lot of people worry that tooth removal will hurt.
Here at Revitalise, we make sure that any teeth to be removed are properly and fully numb before we remove them. This makes tooth removals virtually painless.
It is true, you may experience some discomfort after the treatment as your body will go through a phase of inflammation which is actually the first phase of healing. We give you advice on pain relief to help you manage this.
It can be uncomfortable having a tooth removed, however, using a local anaesthetic during the procedure you will not feel any pain. Once the anaesthetic has worn off it is common to feel some mild pain and soreness which can easily be treated with over the counter painkillers such as paracetamol and ibuprofen. This pain should clear up within 24 hours.

Do you offer emergency appointments?

We understand that tooth pain or discomfort can sneak up on you, and when it does it affects your day to day life. We offer emergency appointments to all of our registered patients who need to see a dentist at short notice. Any necessary prescriptions are included as part of your emergency treatment.

What our Clients say

“The minute I met Martin, I just knew he was so calm and relaxing. So then we had a discussion and Martin said what he could do and it had to be what our pocket could afford as well and we went ahead with it. The experience I had at this dentist was unbelievable, it was a journey I loved every minute of.”

Client: Dee
Treatment: Dental Implants

“There’s always smiling, handshakes, hugs and plenty of tea and coffee. They looked after my husband who was there for the day. They do the sedation and Hayley looked after me. Obviously I was unaware of exactly what they were doing, but they always make you feel so comfortable. Although you’re nervous, I don’t think I could’ve gone and got the same treatment anywhere else.”
