How Much Does Invisalign Cost - Revitalise Dental Centre

If discretion and comfort are at the forefront of your mind when it comes to your dental treatment, then Invisalign may be right for you. Invisalign aligners are transparent and custom-made to fit the contours of your mouth. Unlike traditional braces, they can also be easily removed before you brush your teeth or eat a meal. Essentially, your Invisalign treatment will straighten your teeth without hindering your busy lifestyle

At Revitalise Dental Centre we offer a complimentary teeth whitening session once your Invisalign treatment is complete. Invisalign can also be followed up with other treatments and many patients choose to further enhance their smile with cosmetic bondingveneers and dental implants. Dr Alkisti Vousvouni is trained in Invisalign and bonding treatments at Revitalise.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a revolutionary treatment that gradually aligns teeth using a series of clear, removable aligners. Unlike traditional alignment technology, Invisalign uses no metal brackets or wires, and you can remove the aligners to eat. This makes Invisalign aligners preferable over conventional methods of teeth alignment, as they offer a less restrictive and more flexible way of getting straighter teeth.

Invisalign is different from other clear alignment technologies. Invisalign aligners are made from a patented thermoplastic material called SmartTrack. This plastic has been created exclusively for your Invisalign treatment and offers comfort and flexibility and reduces the chance of braces snapping or breaking, which can cause oral health problems and disrupt treatment.

How does Invisalign work?

Using a series of clear aligners, Invisalign gradually straightens teeth to give you a naturally straight smile. During your initial consultation, your dentist will assess your suitability for Invisalign and discuss your expectations for treatment. Moulds of your teeth will be made, and your bespoke aligners will be created. Following this, you will receive your clear aligners to take home to begin your treatment.

The treatment process can take anywhere between 3 – 18 months, depending on the level of treatment required. Each aligner gradually moves your teeth to create the movement necessary to align your teeth sustainably. Unlike traditional alignment technology, Invisalign aligners can be removed quickly at any point in the process.

The Treatment Process

Invisalign will take you on a journey to a straighter smile both discreetly and painlessly. During your initial consultation, your Revitalise practitioner will answer any questions you may have, as well as evaluate your overall oral health.

Dr Alkisti Vousvouni is an Invisalign-trained practitioner here at Revitalise. She will assess your suitability for the Invisalign treatment and will also be able to answer any questions you may have about further treatments you may desire to enhance your smile.

The Initial Appointment

Before you begin Invisalign treatment, we must assess your suitability and ensure your overall oral health is good enough to proceed. Once we have assessed that you are a suitable candidate for Invisalign, your Revitalise dentist will create a bespoke treatment plan to map out the exact movements of your teeth. We will then send these to the lab to develop custom-made retainers to ensure that the correct amount of force is applied to different areas of your mouth at the right time.

Follow-up consultation

Once your Revitalise practitioner has determined you to be a suitable candidate for the Invisalign treatment, you will return for a follow-up consultation. Your bespoke Invisalign treatment plan will be outlined and you will also receive your aligners.

For patients with veneers or crowns, there is a possibility you may not be suited for Invisalign treatment. These cases are treated on an individual basis and it is best to discuss treatment with one of our Revitalise practitioners. They will be able to assess your oral health and determine whether Invisalign is right for you.

If Invisalign is not the right treatment for you, your practitioner will discuss your other options such as Six Month Smiles ®, a revolutionary short-term orthodontic treatment that can give you a beautifully straight smile in just six months. Discreet and painless, the Six Month Smiles ® treatment uses clear braces which are fixed, much like traditional orthodontic braces but more discreet. Talk to your Revitalise practitioner if you think Six Month Smiles ® might be an appropriate treatment for you.

Receiving Your Aligners

Next, you will receive your bespoke Invisalign aligners to begin treatment. Your Revitalise dentist will explain your treatment process and answer any questions about treatment. Following this, you will take your aligners home to start your Invisalign treatment. You will be expected to wear your aligners for 22-24 hours a day to receive the best results.

We are always on hand should you need any assistance during your Invisalign treatment. Our patient care team are always happy to help.

Continued consultations

As your Invisalign journey progresses, your Revitalise practitioner will be with you every step of the way. During these consultations, your practitioner will assess your oral health and progress with the treatment. They will also be available to answer any questions you may have and make sure you are following your treatment plan. For Invisalign treatment to work, you need to wear your aligners for 22-24 hours a day. If you are failing to comply with your plan, Invisalign treatment may take longer to straighten your teeth. Be sure to talk with your practitioner about getting your treatment back on track.

Finishing your treatment

Once your Invisalign treatment comes to an end, you will have to wear a retainer. Any follow-up treatments can be discussed by your Revitalise practitioner, who can also advise you on any other cosmetics treatments you may be interested in, such as veneers, dental implants and cosmetic bonding. To make the most of your new smile, you may want to book regular whitening appointments or enquire about cosmetic bonding with our very own internationally renowned Dr Jason Smithson.

How long will Invisalign take?

Invisalign treatment usually takes between 3-18 months. This depends on your age and how strictly you are sticking with your treatment plan, as well as your general oral health and how misaligned your teeth are. Patients with minor misalignment can have a beautifully straight smile in just 12 weeks. Most patients require a minimum of 6 – 18 months but you will start to notice results right away.

How much will Invisalign cost?

At Revitalise Dental Centre, Invisalign treatment costs £3,800. This includes your initial consultation, which is covered with a non-refundable 10% deposit at the time of booking. Your appointments and follow-up consultations are also included, as well as your Invisalign retainers which will need to be replaced every few weeks. This is dependent on the treatment plan you have discussed with your Revitalise practitioner. You will receive a complimentary tooth whitening session and many of our patients choose to go on to request other cosmetic treatments. We also have manageable finance plans.

What issues can Invisalign remedy?

Invisalign aligners can be used to straighten twisted teeth, spaced teeth and/or crowded teeth. The treatment is also recommended for patients with a crossbite, overbite, underbite or open bite.

Am I guaranteed to have straight teeth with Invisalign treatment?

Although it is impossible to guarantee an outcome with Invisalign treatment, Invisalign has helped 9 million people worldwide achieve their dream smiles. As long as you share your goals with your dentist and stick to your treatment plan, including wearing your retainers for 22-24 hours per day, you should receive the results you desire.

Is Invisalign right for me?

If you currently have misaligned teeth and are looking to get a straighter smile without the nuisance of fixed braces, Invisalign could be the perfect solution for you. Invisalign has helped 9 million people to get a straighter smile, and the flexibility and comfort of treatment make it an excellent option for most people. Some circumstances may mean that Invisalign is unsuitable for you, but your Revitalise practitioner will discuss this with you during your consultation.

How is Invisalign different from other alignment alternatives?

Invisalign uses patented technology to create invisible retainers which are discreet and comfortable for the duration of your treatment. Metal brackets and fixtures often used in traditional orthodontic treatment can break and irritate the mouth and gums. Invisalign clear aligners are created to your exact gum shape so that they are as comfortable as possible to wear throughout your treatment.

The success of Invisalign has led to the rise of many other clear alignment technologies attempting to offer a similar service without attention to detail. Many copycat providers do not offer bespoke clear aligners explicitly fitted to your mouth, leading to bleeding gums and dental complications that may need further work.

We work with Invisalign as they are trusted internationally and have straightened the smiles of over 9 million patients worldwide.

How can I clean my aligners?

The best way to clean your aligners is by rinsing them in warm water and using Invisalign’s patented Cleaning Crystals, you can also use warm water and brush with antibacterial soap. During your Invisalign treatment, you will also need to brush your teeth after each meal before re-inserting your aligners to maintain good oral health throughout the treatment. If you do not remove your aligners before you eat or brush your teeth before re-inserting them, food and drink could stain your aligners and disrupt treatment.

Do I have to go through a dentist for my Invisalign treatment?

As Invisalign treatment is considered a prescription, all aligners must be ordered through a licensed Invisalign practitioner. This is to ensure you are not only suitable for the treatment but your Invisalign aligners fit correctly. By speaking to an Invisalign practitioner you also receive advice from a licensed dentist who can make sure you are sticking to your treatment plan.

How much does Invisalign treatment cost?

Invisalign treatment at Revitalise costs £3800. This includes appointments during treatment, Invisalign retainers, and teeth whitening once your treatment is complete. At the time of booking, a non-refundable 10% deposit covers the cost of an initial consultation.

Do dentists perform Invisalign treatment?

All Invisalign treatment at Revitalise is guided by Invisalign trained dentists. Alongside Invisalign training, all dentists at Revitalise are highly skilled practitioners with specific expertise in different areas of dentistry. Our roster includes dentists with particular interests in endodontic and orthodontic dentistry and some of the finest cosmetic dentists and implantologists in the country.

Our dentists will assess your overall oral health to ensure that you are a suitable candidate for Invisalign. They will also advise whether any further treatment is necessary to enhance and maintain your smile once treatment is finished.

Can Invisalign treatment help my overall oral health?

Straighter teeth can help control plaque which could lead to gum problems, preventing further damage to your oral health. It becomes easier to manage your oral health by straightening crowded teeth as gaps between teeth are easier to reach with floss or tipi brushes. This means that food debris is not left between the teeth to cause decay.

When you feel confident about your smile, you are more likely to look after your teeth to maintain your new look. By achieving your goals, you can take pride in your new smile and ensure that you maintain excellent oral health at home.

How often do I have to wear my Invisalign aligners?

You will need to wear your Invisalign aligners for 22-24 hours a day for the duration of your treatment. The length of treatment will depend on your needs. For some patients with just minor alignment issues, treatment can take as little as three months. You can remove your clear aligners to eat as long as they are replaced once you finish your meal.

If you do not wear your aligners for the allotted amount of time or there are gaps during treatment, you could derail your treatment plan. This might mean that your aligners become unsuitable, and treatment will last longer. If you feel as though you might not have been wearing your retainers for the required length of time, speak to your dentist, who will be able to advise you on how to get your treatment plan back on track.

Can I take out my Invisalign retainers when I eat?

Yes! One of the most significant benefits of Invisalign treatment is that you can take your aligners out when you eat. As long as you ensure that you are wearing your retainers for 22-24 hours per day, you will be able to eat whatever you want whilst undergoing Invisalign treatment.

What if Invisalign isn’t suitable for me?

In the unlikely event that you are not a suitable candidate for Invisalign, then there are other options available to create a healthier natural smile. At Revitalise, we also offer Six Month Smiles. Many candidates who are not suitable for Invisalign find that the Six Month Smiles option is a better fit. Six Month Smiles is ideal for patients who prefer fixed brace technology and would like their treatment to be complete within six months.

How long will my Invisalign treatment take?

It is difficult to say how long your treatment might take. Invisalign treatment can take anywhere between 3-18 months for most people depending on the complexity of the treatment needed. Once your Revitalise Invisalign Practitioner has assessed your overall oral health and your digital treatment plan has been created, you will better understand how long your Invisalign treatment will take.

Will I have to wear a retainer forever?

Whether you choose fixed braces or removable Invisalign aligners with any alignment programme, you may need to wear a retainer to maintain your newly straightened smile. Once you have completed your course of Invisalign treatment, your Revitalise Invisalign Practitioner will be able to advise as to whether you will need to wear a retainer.

Might I need additional treatments?

When you choose Revitalise for your Invisalign treatment, you will also receive a complimentary teeth whitening treatment so that you can start showing off your new smile immediately.

Upon completing a course of Invisalign treatment, many patients choose to enhance their smile with further cosmetic treatments. For those looking for a big Hollywood smile, straighter teeth could be further enhanced with some cosmetic bonding to fill gaps and create square edges, and many choose to use their newly straight teeth as a base from which to build a set of veneers.

Can I have Invisalign if I have veneers?

In some cases, it is possible to have Invisalign treatment if you already have veneers. Invisalign is more appropriate for veneers as there are no fixings or wires needed. However, Invisalign may not be suitable for some veneers, but this will be considered individually, and your Revitalise practitioner will be able to advise further. For veneers, creating straighter teeth may be possible by replacing veneers.

What other treatments will be available to me after I finish Invisalign?

If you would like to enhance your smile even further, our team at Revitalise are happy to discuss your options. Once Invisalign treatment is complete, many of our patients consider cosmetic treatments to further enhance their smile which can improve their confidence and the functionality of their oral health.

Veneers

Veneers are an efficient and effortless solution to stained, chipped or crooked teeth. A veneer is a thin ceramic shell securely attached to your tooth or teeth and is usually attached to your most visible teeth at the front of your mouth.

Whether you are filling a gap or treating a single badly stained tooth, our porcelain veneers can give your smile an elegant finish and boost your confidence. If teeth whitening does not give a patient a satisfactory result, veneers can also act as a treatment for discolouration. Veneers can also straighten twisted or misaligned teeth and protect your teeth if you have damaged enamel.

Revitalise has a dedicated laboratory, Dental Precision, with state-of-the-art facilities that enable our technicians to create custom-made veneers and other prostheses on-site, so you can achieve more functionality in your oral health and improve your self-confidence in just 2 to 4 weeks. We also use innovative ELab Technology which matches the shade of your natural teeth with your ceramic veneers. With the correct maintenance, veneers can last 15 years and can even relieve teeth sensitivity.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are a long-term solution to missing or broken teeth. With a ceramic crown and titanium “root”, dental implants replicate the look and feel of a natural tooth and give patients the confidence to live their lives without hindrance.  A dental implant is a straightforward and routine treatment that can usually be completed within a day and not only replicates the organic look of your natural teeth but can greatly improve the functionality of your oral health. Dental implants are also permanently fixed in your jaw and can maintain and strengthen your jawbone. With the correct routine, dental implants can last for 20 years.

Dental implants come in many different shapes and sizes.

Single tooth implant

One missing tooth can be replaced with a single implant. This treatment restores functionality and improves the health of neighbouring teeth and your jawbone.

Implant supported bridge

If you have multiple missing or chipped teeth, then an implant supported bridge may be the treatment for you.

Full arch

If you are missing just about all your teeth, then you may be eligible for a full arch of dental implants. If you have any teeth remaining, they will be removed and replaced. Your upper jaw will require a minimum of four implants as the bone is often softer, while your lower jaw will need a minimum of two implants.

Cosmetic Bonding

Cosmetic bonding, also known as composite bonding or direct resin bonding, is the application of a special form of tooth-coloured plastic called dental composite resin to your teeth. It is a fast and efficient way to fix minor cosmetic issues. If you have decay, damage or discolouration, then cosmetic bonding can repair as well as improve the overall shape and appearance of your teeth. Cosmetic bonding is a non-invasive treatment and, in most cases, requires just one appointment. At Revitalise our very own Dr Jason Smithson pioneered the technique of cosmetic bonding in Great Britain over two decades ago and has since travelled all over the world educating other dental practitioners on the treatment. Dr Alkisti Vousvouni our Invisalign practitioner also offers cosmetic bonding and other Dental Treatments you may require.

At our state-of-the-art eco-building in St Agnes, Cornwall, Revitalise Dental Centre uses 3D imaging technology to create a mock-up of your anticipated result so you can see how Invisalign treatment will improve your smile before you even commit to treatment.

Can I have Invisalign if I already have veneers or dental implants?

Invisalign - Revitalise Dental Centre

If you are considering Invisalign treatment but already have veneers, talk to your Revitalise practitioner. Cases are treated on an individual basis, so it is important to discuss your goals and overall oral health with your practitioner. If Invisalign is not the best solution for your misaligned teeth, our team will be able to suggest other treatments that might work for you such as Six Month Smiles ®.

If you already have dental implants, your Revitalise practitioner may suggest other more suitable treatments to straighten your teeth. If you are thinking about getting dental implants but straightening your teeth is also at the forefront of your treatment plan, your dentist may recommend you complete your Invisalign treatment first before receiving your implants. By straightening your teeth first, you will receive the best possible outcome for your dental implants.

Before going ahead with any treatment, your Revitalise practitioner will map out a treatment plan to ensure the best possible end to your journey.

“The minute I met Martin, I just knew he was so calm and relaxing. So then we had a discussion and Martin said what he could do and it had to be what our pocket could afford as well and we went ahead with it. The experience I had at this dentist was unbelievable, it was a journey I loved every minute of.”

Client: Dee
Treatment: Dental Implants

“There’s always smiling, handshakes, hugs and plenty of tea and coffee. They looked after my husband who was there for the day. They do the sedation and Hayley looked after me. Although you’re nervous, I don’t think I could’ve gone and got the same treatment anywhere else.”
