Removable Implant Retained Dentures

Removable Implant Retained Dentures provide the perfect solution for patients seeking a secure denture attachment that is stress-free, easy to use and offers a natural look and feel.

At Revitalise Dental Centre we can offer our patients the option of removable implant retained dentures in those cases where a fixed implant retained denture may not be suitable. In an approach that is similar to the fixed denture option, dental implants are inserted into the jawbone to provide a secure base for the removable denture to be clipped and unclipped easily and comfortably.

Removable implant retained dentures provide customers with flexibility, security, comfort and the guarantee of a beautiful, natural smile. They can be removed easily for maintenance and cleaning providing an efficient oral hygiene routine.

Removable dentures are ideal for patients who have:

  • Lost bone mass or strength in their jaw.
  • Minor, moderate or serious gum recession.
  • A need for additional facial structure support to aid muscle strength.

In many cases removable dentures can be securely held in place with just two implants for the lower jaw and four implants for the upper jaw. Although classed as a surgical option, implants are placed in a simple and straightforward procedure after which you will have a period of healing before the next stage of treatment.

As each patient is unique our approach is always to create a bespoke solution that suits you. During your initial consultation, your dedicated Revitalise practitioner will discuss all the available options with you as well as the steps and timescales for your preferred approach.

All dentures and dental prosthesis are created by the skilled technicians in our on-site laboratory, this means that timescales for treatment are kept to a minimum and any alterations can be done quickly and efficiently.

Removable Implant Retained Dentures:

  • Are suitable for both Full or Partial Upper and/or Lower arches.

Further information

The treatment and recovery times for each patient are always slightly different because everyone is unique.

Therefore, none of the solutions we offer are one-size-fits-all. Every step of the way your care plan will be tailored to your needs and your lifestyle and we will work with you to find the best and most efficient timescale for your treatment.

As with any minor surgical procedure there needs to be a period of recovery time. This allows your jaw and gums to heal and your jawbone to begin fusing with the implants.

On average we usually work within a timeframe of approximately 4 months of treatment time for a lower arch denture and around 7 months for an upper arch denture.

This allows time for all the initial consultations, treatments and healing time. Then the designing, creating and fitting of your bespoke denture, which will be hand crafted on-site by our experienced technicians.

During recovery periods you can wear your existing denture if you have one or we can create a temporary option for you which will look and feel natural but will not last as long as the final version.

In your initial consultation we will discuss all the stages with you, how long each may take and what you should expect every step of the way. We are here to help and advise, answer any questions you have and alleviate worries if you have them.

At Revitalise you will experience our five star care in the beautiful surroundings of our purpose built, eco-friendly dental centre. All our team are friendly, approachable, incredibly experienced and highly professional and will work with you to achieve your dream smile.

Like any product that is regularly worn, used, handled and cleaned, your removable implant retained denture will eventually experience wear and tear.
As part of our ongoing commitment to you and your smile when your treatment is completed you will leave with a maintenance and care plan designed specifically for you and tailored to your needs and lifestyle.

By taking care of your denture, having regular dentist and hygienist appointments and following a rigorous oral hygiene regime you can expect your removable denture to last for approximately 5-7 years, after which it will usually need to be replaced.

Because we have specialist technicians on-site in our laboratory, any essential maintenance or small repairs can be completed quickly and easily, helping to maximise the lifespan of your dental prosthesis.

If you have any questions about the services we provide and how we can help you to get back your smile confidence, please call our team to arrange a consultation.
