Hello, and welcome to the first instalment of my travel posts.
I am lucky enough that my work allows me to travel, not just within the UK but all around the world, attending and speaking at various lectures and demonstrations on different topics within the cosmetic dental industry. In this new series of posts I shall be sharing with you what I get up to on these visits, and showing you behind the scenes of what goes on during them.
One of the most recent events that I attended took me up to the beautiful country of Iceland from the 30th November till 1st December 2019. Whilst out there, I spoke and gave a hands on demonstration to 24 other dentists, some of whom had travelled from within the country itself, as well as others from Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Belgium. The topic for this event was ceramic onlays and crowns. The dentists in attendance watched me perform a procedure and then had the opportunity to have a go at the procedure themselves meaning that they could get involved as they learned, rather than having to wait until they got back to their own practices to put their skills to the test.
The event was organised by DentaNet, a professional organisation which connects dentists, clinics and laboratories in Scandinavian countries and the UK by hosting events and training programmes surrounding cosmetic and minimally invasive dentistry. The event was also kindly sponsored by Kulzer, who supply dentists with an extensive range of products, to ensure that their clients get the best treatment possible.
It was wonderful to meet so many other dentists who were just as passionate about cosmetic dentistry as I am. To keep up to date with my travels, make sure to check #JasonsTravels on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn and follow Revitalise Dental Centre to see when the next chapter goes live.
“The minute I met Martin, I just knew he was so calm and relaxing. So then we had a discussion and Martin said what he could do and it had to be what our pocket could afford as well and we went ahead with it. The experience I had at this dentist was unbelievable, it was a journey I loved every minute of.”

“There’s always smiling, handshakes, hugs and plenty of tea and coffee. They looked after my husband who was there for the day. They do the sedation and Hayley looked after me. Obviously I was unaware of exactly what they were doing, but they always make you feel so comfortable. Although you’re nervous, I don’t think I could’ve gone and got the same treatment anywhere else.”
