Why Is Revitalise Dental Centre Different From Any Other Private Dental Practice?

When dental care is discussed among family and friends it can be met with gloom. Through to the treatment themselves and financial worries of costs. Here at Revitalise Dental Centre we understand how important it is for our patients to feel relaxed and in control. After spending the last 35 years working in clinics all over the UK, our Clinical Dental Technician Martin Docking wanted to offer a new and better experience.

We appreciate that all of our customers are unique and have different needs. That’s why we have made it our mission to ensure that every patient receives exceptional customer care, with their health being a number one priority. This was something we felt was missing in dentistry, not only in the UK but across the globe. Everyone deserves to have dental care from a team who are knowledgeable, caring and respectful of the customers needs.

To do things differently it was a matter of starting from scratch. We have taken two approaches to make this possible, creating a unique centre completely different to other private dental surgeries. Along with building a team of professionals who share the same values and ethos.

Our Centre

Our centre is located in a private rural location in Cornwall and is not like any other private dental practices in the UK. In May 2015 we instructed our Architect; Martin Penk to design a sustainable building. A space for us to deliver the BluePrint of modern dentistry. Our private dental centre is state of the art with a variety of relaxing treatment rooms and the very latest technology. We even have an award winning dental laboratory on-site. Allowing us to provide dental treatments in a fraction of the time. Having the latest technology at our centre was important however we wanted to take it one step further.

Typically when visiting your dentist you would check in at the front desk and sit in small, often crowded waiting area. If your lucky you might be offered a drink of water whilst you wait anxiously to be called into your appointment. This is not good enough. You deserve to be treated with compassion and respect. That’s why we do things differently.

Upon entering our clinic you will be welcomed by our lounge manager who will show you around and settle you in. Visiting the dentist can be intimidating, to calm your nerves you will be offered a choice of refreshments from our drinks menu to enjoy in our spacious lounge. Our lounge area is often compared with one you will find at a hotel lobby because of its peacefulness and beautifully decorated art. People say “it doesn’t smell like a dental practice” and “I can’t hear a drill, it is just relaxing”. Our vision was to create a centre that emulated the style of a five star hotel, with all the relaxing comforts of home.

It was important that people had a place to relax in peace, regardless of their visit. A spacious and quiet lounge allows our team to clearly explain the treatment options available to our customers without rushing. This gives our customers the time to choose a treatment plan that suits them. At Revitalise we will never pressure our customers into a plan that they are not comfortable with. It’s none of our business what they can or can’t afford or what they want to spend on their smile. Our customers are in full control.

Our Team

During the early stages of building our team it was important that everyone shared the same values and ethos. After beginning our recruitment in January 2016, this still remains the case 3 years later. Initially our team was quite small, we started with 2 surgeries and a team consisting of 2 clinicians, a hygiene therapist, 2 nurses and a business manager.

However, due to the way we do things here at Revitalise demand for a dentist that cares as much as we do grew. As a result it was a no brainer to expand our team. Continuing to carefully select the right people who share our vision, within 3 years our team has more than doubled. We now have grown to 3 surgeries, a team of 4 clinicians, 1 hygiene therapist, 1 Clinical Dental Technician, 6 nurses and an admin team of 2.

We have created something very special at Revitalise and we don’t plan on stopping. We have great plans to make Revitalise accessible to more patients, offering adult orthodontics and facial treatments to enhance opportunities for more patients.
